Canadian couple gives $11.2 million lottery winnings to charity


A Canadian couple in their mid ‘70s won $11.2 million on the lottery in July 2010.  They have decided to give all the winnings to hospitals, charities, family and friends.  The couple, Allen and Violet Large, decided against going on a spending spree.  In their own words, “what you’ve never had, you never miss”.   They have been married for 36 years and they believe what really matters now is that they have each other.
